Biden Leads Democratic Race

In the unofficial results of Tuesday's Democratic presidential primary, Joseph R. Biden Jr. has secured a decisive lead in Butler County. With all precincts reporting, Biden garnered 10,980 votes, comprising a commanding 6353 of the total provisional, absentee, and mail-in ballots cast.
Biden's strong showing in Butler County mirrors his statewide performance, where he currently holds a narrow lead over his closest rival, Bernie Sanders. As of this writing, Biden has captured 4627 votes statewide, while Sanders trails with 3951.
Despite Biden's strong performance in Butler County, it is important to note that these are unofficial results and are subject to change as provisional ballots are processed and absentee ballots are counted. Official results are expected to be certified by the Pennsylvania Department of State in the coming days.
Republican Race Remains Tight
In the Republican primary, the race remains close between Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis. Trump currently holds a slim lead in Butler County with 5,678 votes, while DeSantis trails closely behind with 5,234 votes. Statewide, Trump holds a similar narrow lead over DeSantis.
With a large number of absentee ballots still outstanding, the Republican race is likely to remain competitive until the final results are certified. Pennsylvania will allocate 159 Democratic delegates and 16 Republican delegates based on the presidential primary results.
