The star of the match was undoubtedly AB de Villiers, who played an unbeaten knock of 55 off just 22 balls. His innings included five fours and three sixes, and he played a pivotal role in RCB's chase. Other notable contributions came from Virat Kohli (43) and Devdutt Padikkal (35).
RR, who were batting first, had posted a competitive total of 177/6 thanks to a half-century from Sanju Samson (52). However, RCB's bowlers kept things tight, with Yuzvendra Chahal taking three wickets and Navdeep Saini claiming two.
The match came down to the wire in the final over, with RCB needing 35 runs to win. Navdeep Saini hit two sixes off Jaydev Unadkat's first two deliveries, giving RCB a glimmer of hope. AB de Villiers then took over, smashing a boundary and two more sixes off the next three deliveries to seal the victory.
RCB's win was their sixth of the season, moving them up to second place in the points table. They now have 12 points from 10 matches, behind leaders Mumbai Indians (16 points). RR, on the other hand, have slipped to sixth place with six points from 10 matches.
