Hiam Abbass

Hiam Abbass (also credited as Hiyam Abbas) is a Palestinian actress and film director. She is known for her roles in the films Blade Runner 2049, The Visitor, and Amreeka.

Abbass was born in Nazareth, Israel, and studied acting at the Tel Aviv University. She began her career in the theater, and in the early 1990s, she began to appear in films. She has since starred in over 50 films and television shows.

In Blade Runner 2049, Abbass plays Freysa, a replicant who helps the protagonist, Rick Deckard, to find his long-lost daughter. Abbass's performance is both nuanced and powerful, and she brings a great deal of depth to the role.
