First Debate Scheduled for June 27
The first presidential debate of the 2024 election is set to take place on Thursday, June 27, from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. ET. The debate will be hosted by CNN from its Atlanta studios and will be moderated by Jake Tapper.
Details of the First Debate
The debate will focus on domestic policy issues and will be divided into six segments, each lasting 15 minutes. The topics for the debate have not yet been announced, but they are expected to include the economy, healthcare, education, and immigration.
Both candidates will have two minutes to give opening and closing statements. They will then have 90 seconds to respond to each question and 60 seconds for rebuttals. The debate will conclude with a two-minute closing statement from each candidate.
