DeMar DeRozan Signs with Chicago Bulls
Three-Year Contract Worth $81.9 Million
Contract Includes $81.9 Million Guaranteed
The Chicago Bulls have signed forward DeMar DeRozan to a three-year contract worth $81.9 million, which includes $81.9 million guaranteed. The signing was part of a sign-and-trade deal with the San Antonio Spurs that also involved Thaddeus Young and Al-Farouq Aminu.
DeRozan, a four-time All-Star, averaged 21.6 points, 6.9 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game for the Spurs last season. The Bulls hope that the experienced scorer can help them return to playoff contention after missing the postseason in each of the past four seasons.
The 32-year-old DeRozan is entering the final year of his contract and could become a free agent after the 2023-24 season.
